Samsung Telecommunications America the leading mobile phone provider recently announced the launch of a new advertising campaign for one of its most popular handsets.

The news has been reported by the folks over at news.softpedia.com which states that the ad campaign is for the Samsung Omnia II one of the most popular handsets on the United States market.

The campaign which started on the 18th March features celebrity athlete Lamar Odom. The company at the same time has said that the ads are to be aired during the college basketball championships through local CBS television stations.

Odom is said to show the capabilities of the mobile including the bright screen and superb fast speeds and of course the swype technology that it comes with. The Samsung Omnia II is already available for purchase in the US exclusively through Verizon Wireless.
