HTC Post Higher Than Targets Q1 Results

It looks like HTC is doing rather well as they have posted revenues for the first quarter of 2010 at NT$37.697 billion which is roughly US$1.19 billion, and is an increase of 19.33 percent on the previous year reports an article over on digitimes.

Furthermore the posted figures where higher than the upper target which HTC had projected at NT$32 billion to NT$34 billion. Driving up HTC’s revenue growth where the shipments of new mobile phone which include the HTC Desire, HTC HD Mini and the HTC Legend along with shipments of Android based handsets to Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile.

HTC stated that they posted pre-tax profits of NT$5.745 billion and after tax profits of NT$5.026 billion for Q1 while Net EPS stood at NT$6.42 for Q1 of 2010 compared to the previous year of NT$6.54.

March revenues alone reached NT$16.383 billion which is up some 60 percent sequentially and 32.38 percent on year. In Q2 HTC is expected to snap up revenues of NT$41.5-43.5 billion according to estimates of market sources.
