iPhone 4G and OS 4.0: Adobe Flash Problem

We all know there is somewhat of a problem between Apple and Adobe and it now appears that that particular war is set to continue as Apple has banned support for the flash to iPhone converter reports an article over on product-reviews.

As we know, Apple has released the iPhone OS 4.0 SDK to developers within which Apple has updated their iPhone Developer Program License Agreement within which confirms the banning of the Adobe converter reports mashable.

What the updated iPhone Developer Licence Agreement says is “Applications must be originally written in Objective-C, C, C++ and only code in C, C++ and Objective-C may compile and directly link against the Documented APIs.”

Thus basically Apple has prevented the use of the Adobe workaround that enabled iPhone developers to write with the flash converter on the iPhone, but what will Adobe do now in the next round of trying to get Adobe Flash onto the iPhone?

No doubt Adobe will be looking closely at iPhone OS 4.0 and the updated terms to see if there is some kind of loophole or if there is another way round it.

So why does Microsoft get such grief about restrictive practices, while Apple blatantly discriminates? Did Jobs contribute more at the political level?
