FCC Reveals Nokia X3 Headed for Verizon Wireless?

According to an article over on unwired view, a couple of days ago the FCC approved a mystifying Nokia mobile phone, the RM-687, which apparently sports both CDMA and VE-DO connectivity, which could mean that this Nokia RM-687 could possibly be released on the Big Red network or Sprint network.

However according to the article Sprint doesn’t seem to release Nokia handsets so it looks like this one will be heading for Verizon. But what is the Nokia RM-687, well according to the Bluetooth SIG, the Nokia RM-687 is in fact the Nokia X3 CDMA EV-DO version.

Presumably as the Big Red has launched Nokia handsets in the past, the Nokia Shade and Nokia Twist for example then it could be assumed Verizon is likely to launch the Nokia X3.

Spec wise the Nokia X3 sports a 2.2 inch QVGA display, 3.2 megapixel camera, dedicated music keys, FM radio, 3.5mm jack and microSD expansion and is an entry level music phone, so you’ll probably be looking at a cheap handset on contract, with Verizon.
