It has been reported in an article over at mobiletor.com that Monotype Imaging Holdings FlipFont mobile font application is set to come to Samsung handsets that are expected to arrive later this year.

The Samsung Galaxy S which was released last month at the CTIA Wireless 2010 is said to be the first mobile device which is equipped with FlipFont as a built in application.

It offers users the ability to improve their mobile experience by playing or trying out different types of fonts, what’s more is that the Samsung Galaxy S also happens to be the first FlipFont supported device based on Google’s Android mobile platform.

Monotype Imaging’s FlipFont application allows the user to preview, choose, license and download type from a collection of online mobile optimised fonts. Those users of attuned Android powered mobile devices from Samsung can have direct access to mobile fonts via Google’s Android Marketplace.
