LG LU2300 Android 2.1 announced

It has been brought to our attention thanks to the folks over at pocket-lint.com via lgblog.co.uk that LG have made an announcement on their blog.

The announcement involves a new Android device known as the LG LU2300 which is apparently an update for the GW620 InTouch Max. this retains the slide out QWERTY form factor of its older brother.

The LG LU2300 has some very impressive specifications which include Android 2.1, the biggest improvement could be the upgrade from the rather uninspiring TFT screen on the GW620 to an impressive 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen on the new LU2300.

That’s not all though the LU2300 has also got a 1GHz Snapdragon processor CPU, Wi-Fi a DMB tuner and also a 5 megapixel camera. So in a nutshell really it’s a cross between the specs of the Nexus One and the HTC Desire but with the slide out QWERTY keyboard for those of you that prefer that method of inputting text. It is only expected to arrive in Korea at the moment hopefully it’ll be a hit over there and will then come to the rest of us. We will of course update you as and when we hear more.
