RIM set to launch 9800 and BlackBerry OS 6.0

Research in Motion the BlackBerry manufacturer are set to launch the 9800 and also the BlackBerry operating system 6.0 in the very near future. that’s according to a recent report over at top10.com

The BlackBerry 9800 is expected to come with a full QWERTY keyboard which is hidden under the top half of the phone with a slider mechanism. There have been leaked pictures captured over the past few weeks and reported here a few days ago.

Apparently now Research in Motions website has mentioned the 9800 which is leading many to believe that the launch could be just a few days away. A document that has been spotted on the official site CrackBerry refers to the BlackBerry 9800 and states that it will have a native resolution of 360×480 which potentially could indicate a widescreen display.

Another interesting thing that the document brings with it is reference to RIM OS 6.0, which is believed to be the updated platform that future Blackberry additions will be powered by. It is also said to offer wireless N connectivity, 3G and also a whole host of multimedia formats for those that love mobile entertainment.
