Pantech Sirius Android May be heading for AT&T and Verizon

The 3rd largest mobile phone manufacturer in South Korea, Pantech, has announced their first Android platform smartphone which is called the Pantech Sirius IM-A600S reports an article over on unwired view who say the 11.5mm thin full touch phone packs features which put it next to the likes of the HTC Desire and Nexus One.

As for those Pantech Sirius specs, according to the source article over on yonhap news the handsets sports a 3.7 inch WVGA AMOLED touch screen, 5 megapixel camera, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 500MB internal memory, T-DMB, DibX support, WiFi and comes with a 8GB memoery card in the box.

As of this month the Pantech Sirius will be available via SK Telecom in South Korea and priced at 900,000 won which is roughly $810.

Furthermore, Pantech has apparently said they are in talks with AT&T and Verizon along with KDDI of Japan with a view to launching the Android smartphones, although they didn’t confirm the Pantech Sirius is among them.
