Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is this Multi touch or not ?
Here is something a little interesting to say the least, as if the issues surrounding the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and Multi Touch isn’t a little tedious enough now the plot thickens. Incase you missed a previous article where Sony confirms it wont be getting multi touch you can see it here.
Thanks to a report over at ubergizmo.com for sharing this one with us. It seems now after all the debating will the device be getting multi touch or wont it? Yes it will then no it wont.
Now though it seems if the video is real that it may be getting multi touch after all. The Xperia X10 was explained as not getting multi touch due to hardware limitations, but it was mentioned that it would be in receipt of an Android 2.1 update.
And together with that possibly multi touch support, unless that means in terms of software only. Now we have the video which has emerged and appears to be showing the Xperia X10 being used with multi touch. Have a look at the video and leave your comments what do you make of it? Real or fake? Will we see the Xperia X10 with multi touch or not?

Thats not multi-touch. Just double tap on Google Maps and it zooms in. Nice try though.
what are you talking about? he uses a pinch zoom gesture. that wasnt a double tap
I have tried again and again to emulate the google maps pinch zoom you are talking about by double tapping the screen with a pinch zoom action and it doesn't work, yes I have made it zoom in but nothing like what was in the Vid, a double tap zooms in about the same amount as shown by the pinch in the vid and all in all I think it could be either a hoax or real, Sony has stated the x10 will not have multitouch ever due to its hardware but I hope for its future this is not the case, I do love my x10 but multitouch and android 1.6 until sept/oct when 2.1 arrives really does affect my opinion and have already lost two potential x10 owners to the desire or galaxy because of it…
The video states that it's a bug, thats the only way he could do it, a slight glitch in the software.
