iPhone 4G Rivals: BlackBerry, Google, Sony Ericsson, HTC, Who?

Ok so who can be the iPhone 4G Rivals? The list in the title above would be long, so we have just named a few like BlackBerry, Google, Sony Ericsson, HTC.

Ever since the leak of the iPhone prototype things have been getting pretty hot under the collar surrounding this handset with its design, features and release date, but we would love to know who could take Apple on and release a smartphone that could compete.

What about BlackBerry with its new smartphones called the Pearl 3G 9100 or the Bold 9650, could these be the ones that can go head-to-head with the new upcoming iPhone, the Pearl 3G 9100 features microSD/SDHD memory card slot that supports up to 32GB cards, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n, Optical trackpad, 624 Mhz processor, 2MP camera featuring flash/autofocus/video recording, voice activated dialing, BlackBerry OS 5, Support for tri-band UMTS/HSDPA and quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM networks, BlackBerry App World, Built-in GPS for location-based applications, read more about the specs and details on this phone here.

Then you have the BlackBerry Bold 9650, main features include 32GB microSDHC cards with a 2GB card included, built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, full-QWERTY keyboard, 3G (EVDO) networks, HSPA/UMTS, 512MB of flash memory, 3.2MP camera with variable zoom/image stabilization/autofocus/flash/video recording, Bluetooth Stereo Audio Profile (A2DP/AVCRP), BlackBerry Media Sync, Built-in GPS, Full HTML web browser, voice activated dialling, Easy mobile access to social networks and so much more, for more information on specs and details please do so here.

Ok so there are a couple of BlackBerry contenders, now lets see what Sony Ericsson has to offer. Personally only one real contender here and that would have to be the Xperia X10, this handset features Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, Timescape/Mediascape UI, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off, 1 GB storage, microSD card slot up to 16GB, 8GB card included, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, 8MP camera featuring LED flash/autofocus/geo-tagging/face and smile detection/image stabilization/Touch focus and comes with WVGA@30fps video, Android OS 1.6, Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon 1 GHz processor and so much more.

Ok so what about HTC, there are a few phones that we could choose like the HTC EVO 4G, or what about the HTC Droid Incredible, not going to sit here banging on about the specs because these are well known by now, click on the links above and you can see all the specifications and features you need. Personally the one that could knock the iPhone 4G for six would have to be the EVO 4G because it can use either 3G or 4G networks, which is a bonus of you ask me.

We sit here and wonder if the Google Nexus One should be on this list, ok this handset has proved to be a right little winner but with problems occurring with the 3G connections and the latest news that Verizon Wireless will not be getting this smartphone makes you think a little, we will still add this on our poll list below.

We could list many mobile smartphones that could rival the new iPhone 4G, so you know what “WE WILL”, look at the poll list below and click what phone you would prefer. When we see the results we will report it so you can see who came out on top.
