Android 2.2 Froyo: Full Adobe Flash Support Confirmed

Well Steve Jobs and his iPhone may not want Adobe Flash but that same can’t be said for Android as according to an article over on unwired view, it has now been confirmed that Android 2.2 Froyo will come with full Flash support.

The conformation of the news comes by way of the New York Times whereby Andy Rubin, Google’s vice president of engineering himself confirmed that full support for Adobe Flash standard will be included in the next version of the Android operating system.

So with the news that Flash will come to Android with Android 2.2 all we really need to know now is when that is likely to happen. We reported not too long ago that Android 2.2 Froyo was being tested and could possibly hit in May, you can read that article (here)

Although some say that is somewhat of an optimistic timeline and the actual release of Android 2.2 Froyo could be even later than June or maybe even closer to the end of the year; let’s hope not.
