Verizon LG Ally to stand up to HTC Evo 4G

When we though that the only problem ahead of Sprint’s HTC Evo 4G was the Verizon Incredible Droid we were wrong.

Of course Verizon had absolutely no intention whatsoever of letting the HTC Evo stealing the spotlight, not yet anyway. Speculations are again on the increase that Verizon will be releasing an Android offering in the United States, according to an article over at ozcarguide.com.

The LG Ally is expected be offered by Verizon in the United States soon, a QWERTY Android powered slider which made a cameo in Iron Man 2 will be shown off to the masses again when it releases in the middle of May.

The Smartphone which is all in black is somewhat familiar with the Motorola Droid in looks but don’t be mislead by that, inside is has just about everything that the HTC Evo has to offer minus the 4G support. There isnt a great deal known at the moment in relation to the latest Verizon Android.

It is however expected to sport a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and also share similarities with the LG LU2300 otherwise known as the LG Aloha. Is it possible that the LG Ally can in someway impact the sales of the HTC Evo 4G? Share with us any comment or opinions you have.

I am afraid the Ally is no match for the EVO. Less Megapixels, no HDMI out like on the EVO, probably going to be a 600mhz processor instead of the Snapdragon, smaller screen Ally, and the EVO will probably run the Froyo 2.2 version of android. The only upside of the Ally will probably be the price, but will be close
