Google I/O: Android 3.0 aka Gingerbread Release Date

So many good things coming out of the Google I/O Developers Conference this year and the latest is Android 3.0 aka Gingerbread and its release date.

It is expected to release in October according to GadgetGirl via gaj-it.com, a question shown on the sources site says “When will other Google products support WebM and VP8?” and the answer was very interesting indeed because there will apparently be WebM support in Android is expected in the Gingerbread release.

So the new Android 3.0 aka Gingerbread has been given the October release because GadgetGirl says Gingerbread is associated with Halloween and Google say it will release Q4, so add the two together and October seems to be realistic.

As soon as we hear more about Android 3.0 we will let you know, you can count on that. What do you think of the above news?
