Intel Morrestown Smartphone Running Android 2.1 Demo Video

During Computex 2010 Intel showcased a prototype of a smartphone built by Aava Mobile powered by the Intel Morrestown Atom platform and running the Android 2.1 Éclair operating system.

The guys over at Engadget somehow managed to get a little hands-on time with the new device and have produced a video of the occasion which we have for your viewing pleasure below.

They say performance of the handset was decent enough, it didn’t “floor” them any more that a 1GHz Snapdragon although they do sate they weren’t able to stress the handset due to the lack of internet connection and lack of preloaded HD media.

The Intel Morrestown smartphone video demo lasts almost one and a half minutes and gives us a fairly decent look at the device, so head on down, mash play and check it out.
