Well other than the big iPhone event there is another big event coming soon and that is of course the World Cup 2010 in South Africa, and of course several have released mobile applications for the worldwide event.

And according to an article over on Intomobile by Dunsan Belic, the Associated Press has now launched their own World Cup 2010 mobile application which supports virtually every smartphone including Android, BlackBerry, the iPhone and Nokia Maemo, S60, and S40 handsets.

The Associated Press World Cup 2010 app offers customisable skins for all 32 participating countries in the World Cup, team and player news, stadium and regional info, match previews, photos, exclusive video, post-match analysis and language settings for English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Apparently if you want to grab hold of the Associated Press World Cup 2010 application for your smartphone you’ll need to scour your platform application store to locate it and download it.
