iPhone OS 4 Out Soon and Includes iBooks

So it’s well underway at WWDC 2010 and Steve Jobs has just announced that iPhone OS 4.0 will be “out soon” , will be Gold master Candidate as of today and in developer hands, and will include iBooks.

According to the Engadget live blog, the iBookstore will be right on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, whereby the user can purchase a book and download it wirelessly and you can download the same book on all your devices without incurring any additional charge.

iBooks automatically syncs the users place, bookmarks, iBooks has the iBooksotre and it now joins the App Store and iTunes, and they have 150 million accounts which they believe is the biggest on the web.

So if you are into reading while waiting around for that appointment you can now fire up your iPhone pick a book pay for it and read way to your hearts content, oh by the way, that’s something I have been doing for free on my Android phone for ages, still better late than never right?

    Actually you've been able to read books on the iPhone for quite some time with apps like Kindle and Stanza. This is just Apple's own first app for books on the iPhone.
