Samsung Restore just $49.99 at Sprint from July 6

The launch of the Samsung Restore has been officially announced by Samsung Mobile and Sprint. The eco friendly device which is 84% recyclable, and its outer casing contains 27% post consumer recycled plastic.

A recent article by Alexandru over at softpedia.com gives us further information, the Samsung Restore is powered by an Energy Star version 2.0 energy efficient charger an online user manual replaces the usual paper version.

The Samsung Restore truly is a “green” phone containing environmentally sensitive materials such as PVC, PFRs, Phthalates and Beryllium in quantities which are fully compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances. Following the success of the Samsung Reclaim the first eco friendly device it is expected that the Samsung Restore will prove to be as popular.

The device is a messaging orientated handset which sports a slide out QWERTY keyboard with a 2 megapixel camera with camcorder. MP3 player with a memory which can be expanded to 32GB with the use of a microSD card. Colours will be available to Sprint customers are Midnight and Limeade. The device will cost just $49.99 from June 6 which is with a two year contract and after a $50 mail in rebate.
