HTC Aria, Liberty, or Intruder AT&T Bound

There seems to be some confusion over the first Android based smartphone to go with AT&T and what it will actually be called. Earlier reports had it that it would be the HTC Aria that has the honour of being the first Android on the Big Blue network.

However, according to an article on i4u, by way of a report by Florin over at Unwired View, the HTC Aria may see a name change before it hits AT&T and could be renamed the HTC Liberty or HTC Intruder.

Florin bases that assumption on an article by Android Central which posted a render of what is reportedly the HTC Libery while Tjcrew has a screenshot showing the new HTC Intruder in AT&T’s inventory.

So it could be that the HTC Aria is now to be know on AT&T as the HTC Intruder, then again is could change to the Liberty or even back to the Aria. Confusing isn’t it, of course one could always speculate that maybe these 3 are all different handsets and AT&T will launch all three, doubtful though.

I bought the HTC Aria on the AT&T website and I love it!
It is named the HTC Aria on the website, the name in the battery compartment is HTC Intruder, and the name on the phones setup screen is HTC Liberty. Huh!
