Samsung Galaxy S heads to US June 29

Samsung has released the high end Android based Galaxy S Smartphone already on the European market and now it looks like its heading in the direction of the US market also.

According to a recent article by Ionut Arghire over at softpedia.com the company have sent out invitations to a press event which is to be held on June 29th in New York. The invitations state that the next generation in Android Smartphones will be brought to light that day.

It was expected that the company was going to be bringing the Galaxy S to the US soon so this invitation isn’t really a surprise one although it does still remain to be seen what distribution model it intends on adopting.

A rumour floating around out there is that T Mobile would be launching the device on their airwaves on July 21st although previous rumours suggested that all major carriers would have plans for the new phone.

The Samsung Galaxy S brings more to its users including a 4 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, it also has a 1GHz processor and a 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording abilities.
