HTC EVO 4G beats Windows Phone 7 in Most Innovative Products 2010

Great news for HTC and the very recently released and very much talked about HTC EVO 4G has been awarded in Laptop Magazines 25 Most Innovative Products 2010 list the second position.

An article from Ionut Arghire at softpedia.com reports on the subject. The handset which we know is powered by Google’s Android operating system is available for purchase now in the US and if you didn’t already know is the first Smartphone which boasts both 3G and 4G connectivity.

It has to be said that this really is one of the best high end phones on the market at present. It is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and has a nice large 4.3 inch touchscreen display and an 8 megapixel camera on the back along with 720p HD video recording capabilities.

Laptop Magazine states that the phone offers download speeds of between 3 and 6 Mbps on the Sprint network, now what you can do at that speed is really what the HTC EVO 4G is all about. There is a new YouTube HQ application which senses when 4G speeds are available in order to deliver a higher quality stream to the 4.3 inch display.

The HTC EVO 4G is available on Sprint’s airwaves and has been for about a week. We reported earlier this week here as to the success so far of the record sales which followed. Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 operating system came out in fourth position in the same list which if you want to see in more detail can be viewed here.
