Nexus One users to get final Android build 2.2 first

Most Android users out there are waiting patiently for the final version of Android 2.2 to be released into the wild, the likelihood is that that be too far away now.

A recent article by Ionut Arghire over at softpedia.com confirms that those Nexus One owners are probably the most anxious ones when it comes to the official Android 2.2 software solution, as it was the first to taste the upgrade.

The leaked build was spotted just a couple of days ago and was referred to as FRF72 and it appears that the final build will not be too far behind it. On the Nexus One forums today a Google employee stated that the FRF72 build which has been floating around is not the official update. They also went on to state that the Android team is feverishly working to get a final version out the door.

In relation to the final Android 2.2 Froyo build there isn’t any details yet on when it should land on devices. Things may well be moving in the direction that we want them to and hopefully the next version could be with us in just a few weeks.
