If you are griping a bit at having to go on an O2 UK pay as you go contract for the Dell Streak, you now have another option to purchase the Dell Streak in the UK by visiting Dell’s online store and picking the device up SIM free.

According to an article over on Fonehome, Dell’s online store is now offering the 5 inch mobile as an unlocked SIM free option commanding the price of £449 as opposed to the PAYG option with O2 which costs £399, so for only £50 extra you don’t have to go with O2.

If that £449 price seems a bit difficult to meet, apparently Dell also has a financial option available whereby you won’t have to shell out for the device until June 2011.

A reminder of the specs, 5 inch display, 5 megapixel camera with webcam and LED flash, 1GHz processor and Android 1.6 OS. If you decide to purchase the Dell Streak SIM free from Dell the device comes in Carbon Black and comes with a 16GB microSD card included.
