Verizon iPhone May Already Exist?

Looks like the possibility of a Verizon CDMA iPhone is hot news again with the latest rumour that the Big Ole Red will release a Verizon iPhone in January 2011 as we reported (here) but there is now another rumour hitting the net waves…

The Boy Genius Report is running an article by their Michael Bettiol, which is based on an article penned by Jim Dalrymple of Loop Insight, and this particular article reports that Apple already has in their possession a fully functional CDMA version of the iPhone.

The hold up with this CDMA iPhone actually hitting the Big Red is according to the article, Apple and Verizon not being able to agree on a final deal, and thus the CDMA iPhone hardware is sitting on a shelf just waiting for the day.

So based on this supposition, it could mean that we just may well see a Verizon iPhone launch in January 2011, of course as with most things Verizon iPhone related it could be all completely wrong. What do you think, does Apple have a CDMA iPhone waiting in the wings for Verizon, or is this yet again pure pie in the sky?

I think everyone keeps talking about a Verizon iPhone because they want the iPhone 4 on Verizon. Maybe they believe that constantly creating rumors (yes thats what they are) that it may become a reality.

If you want IRREFUTABLE PROOF that the iPhone will NOT be coming to Verizon anytime soon check out the article called "Why Verizon wont see the iPhone anytime soon" at http://getyourgadgetsgoing.com/

  2. I do beleive the Apple is ready and wanting the Verizon iPhone. Weather it is in a warehouse somewhere or being produced, I don't know or care where it is, I just want it ASAP. Apple and Verizon would both be crazy not to work together to bring the TOP SELLING PHONE to THE TOP CELLULAR COMPANY. It isn't rocket science, just something that NEEDS to happen.
