T-Mobile UK Savvy’s up on iPhone Common Problems

Ye olde T-Mobile UK is starting to savvy up on problems with the iPhone ahead of the T-Mobile UK iPhone launch in a bid to prevent costly calls to their customer service teams, and thus staff are brushing up on the most common issues with the iconic iPhone based on stats from Orange customer service.

According to an article over on Mobile Today, T-Mobile staff have been told that if a T-Mobile iPhone customer on a 2 year agreement contacts T-Mobile customer service 8 times, T-Mobile will make a loss on the iPhone as each time someone calls customer service it costs £7.

Apparently the most common problems with the iPhone are…58 percent of users don’t know how to remove the SIM, 40 percent don’t know how to turn on the iPhone, and 75 percent have problems with setting up iTunes. T-Mobile staff have been told to cover these basic issues before selling the iPhone to a customer.

Apparently staff have also been informed that they should aim “to beat” Orange on their iPhone launch, which apparently has thus far been the most successful of all operators. So far T-Mobile UK has not stated when the iPhone 4 would become available or how much it will cost.
