Samsung Vibrant Up for sale on eBay

It’s quite strange just how devices happen to turn up for sale on eBay before the device is even released, and this has happened quite a bit in the past with the likes of the Motorola Cliq and T-Mobile myTouch Slide, and now it appears the Samsung Vibrant.

According to an article over on Tmonews by David, the Samsung Vibrant, T-Mobile’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone is now up for bids on eBay and the winning bid on the 10th of July was $590.

The article does state though that the seller of the Samsung Vibrant has got the bands for T-Mobile wrong only mentioning bands 850/900/1800/1900. The device is apparently brand new and unopened and in its original packaging.

That $590 price seems a tad expensive to me just so you can say you are the first to own the Samsung Vibrant especially when the device is due official release on the 21st of July, but the thing is just how does someone get hold of a device so early and slap it on eBay for sale?

Yes but people are stupid and will pay that amount just to have one first.

I dont see the big deal in that since they wont be first for very long and i dont like to buy the first batch of electronics anyways as they always seem to have bugs so to those idiots who spend too much for a possible headache, ….they must just have more money than they know what to do with it. But thanks for being our guinea pig.

I read somewhere that Tmobile shops have been receiving these since early July in order to prepare for the release date. I'm sure someone decided to make some extra bucks on the side and sell one early.
