Sprint Extends 4G Network in More Markets

Sprint has now extended their 4G network rollout to Rochester, N.Y., Syracuse, N.Y., Merced, Calif., Visalia, Calif., Eugene, Ore., Tri-Cities, Wash., and Yakima, Wash, adding to the growing 4G enabled markets, and also marks the first launches of 4G in California and New York.

According to an article on the Financial Post, Sprint now offers their 4G network in 43 markets and furthermore expects to have their 4G service in many more by the end of 2010 including New York, Miami and Los Angeles.

The first smartphone to be able to work on both Sprint’s 3G and 4G network is the HTC EVO 4G, and demonstrating Sprint’s confidence in their 4G network they offer customers their Sprint Free Guarantee whereby customers can try out 4G for 30 days and if not satisfied can cancel the service and received a full refund.

The president of 4G at Sprint, Matt Carter has said, “We are hearing a lot of positive feedback from our 4G customers who are using HTC EVO and mobile broadband connectivity. People are hungry for faster wireless speeds, 3G/4G smartphones and unlimited data plans — and, Sprint offers all of these. With Sprint 4G, we are entering a new world of wireless possibilities.”

Now all Sprint really needs is for HTC to come up with the good so they can actually deliver the HTC EVO 4G to those customers who are waiting for the device to become available again.
