Nokia N8 Pre-order Release Date and Price
The Nokia N8 hasn’t been too far out of the news over the last couple of months and was recently thrust right into the forefront when Nokia sent Russian police to Eldar Murtazin’s office to reclaim their Nokia N8 prototype.
Well we have some more news on the Nokia N8 this time courtesy of Mikey Bee of NokNok who reports that the Nokia N8 has been placed up for pre-order on Play.com, and also has an availability date of the 31st of August and commands a price tag of £449.99 delivered.
Apparently there has been no official confirmation from the Nokia camp concerning the release of the Nokia N8 or any pricing, but the article does say that the most likely launch date will be the 24th of August and thus Play.com shipping a week later seems quite plausible.
Nokia Online still hasn’t announced the Nokia N8 pre-order, but Play is known for getting the jump over other online retail websites just as they did with the Nokia C6. So any of our readers going to pre-order the Nokia N8?

I asked Vodaphone when it would be available and one of their staff said by the end of July: –

I've been on to Vodafone today and they have advised the release date will be in October.
yeah stockist's ive spoken to are saying mid october.
In australia anyway. which is sad as i would have bought one if they were out earlier.
going with a Galaxy S now instead 🙁
I certainly wouldn't buy one from Play.com for that price.
It is well above what we have been led to believe the N8 will eventually cost, and I for one will be waiting until the price drops to at least £399… or hopefully less!
