iPhone 4 Antenna Grip Issue Tested on 7 New Devices: Video

As you are probably aware, Apple chief Steve Jobs, during the Apple press conference on Friday showed that the antenna issue with their new iPhone 4 wasn’t just an iPhone 4 issue and pointed the finger at the Blackberry Bold 9700, Droid Eris, and Samsung Omnia II.

However, Technobuffalo thought that it wasn’t that fair a comparison as those smartphones are old phones, especially with the HTC Droid Eris coming to its end of life on Verizon, so they decided to do some reception tests of their own and record the results on video.

Of course we have that video for your viewing pleasure below which starts of with the iPhone 4, then compares the issue on the HTC EVO 4G, Motorola Droid X, iPhone 3GS, HTC Aria, Google Nexus One, and the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S the Samsung Captivate.

So to find out just how well these other seven current smartphones stand up to the antenna issue compared with the iPhone 4 head on down and hit the play button…enjoy.

  1. Thanks for that guys; it makes you wonder if Steve Jobs and his techies chose the comparison phones they used on purpose having NOT been able to replicate the iPhone4 results with more recently introduced phones. I s'pose we'll never know but I will say this ; I would NOT buy a used car from Steve Jobs !!
