Droid X Screen Problems vs. iPhone 4 Antenna Issues
It seems customers are facing more and more problems nowadays with super smartphones, like the Motorola Droid X and the Apple iPhone 4.
Many users of the Droid X have faced screen problems, Motorola is aware of the issue where handsets have had flickering or banding display. In some cases customers have said the display is useless, you can view a couple of videos via YouTube here.
Now we know it looks like we are comparing two separate problems with two different smartphones, which does sound a little stupid but we are merely putting across the more smarter handsets get the more problems customers face.
Screen problems with the Motorola Droid X then we have the Apple iPhone 4 antenna issues, Apple got blasted by customers for the lack of signal reception but they were on the ball to ease the anger of customers and Motorola seems to have done the same thing, the problem is the issues are still occurring according to emails we are sent on a daily basis.
Is kind of funny how the media smashed Apple for its problem but was a little more lenient with Motorola, Computerworld has an article that is a great read and a little snippet explains that the Droid X screen glitch is all down to a simple component on a small number of devices.
So to break it down a little, the iPhone 4 problem is a design fault where if you hold the iPhone 4 wrong you loose signal, whereas the Droid X is easily curable. The source above continues to say that it only took Motorola 5 days to address the Droid X issue whereas it took Apple 22 days.

It looks like the writer of this article isn't that smart either: more smarter. Were you paying attention in English glass?
Droid X – had to return it to the store. Could not connect to the internet and they claim it is because I have trees around my house???? Come on now…. everyone with cell phones including my blackberry tour has not problem connecting with the internet.
Another setback once again for Apple and now Motorolla it will be interesting to see what's next in the news regarding iPhone issues (antenna, manufacturing, roaming service charges) and their steps to refund cases won’t make up for the iPhone 4's lack of function over form.
It's a shame to see so many issues with the iPhone 4 and many brand new smart phones in general especially after so many people waited for there release. What's more of a shame is that it seems Apple knew about some of these issues already, such as the problem with reception.
But Apple have created such a loyal following that people may just put up with what issues there are for the sake of owning the latest Apple product.
Personally, I'd be happier with an older iPhone – at least then the issues are all ironed out.
However, it's also interesting to see how much excitement new technologies can bring. New technology and innovation is important for new business, illustrated by entrepreneurship grants and new business competitions like http://www.ukesnc.com.

I do wish to point out though, I love the iPhone cos its smartphone that is SIMPLE to use… thats the allure of Apple producst for me. Basic blackberrys baffle me!! lol
