Motorola Charm coming soon promises T Mobile

About a month ago T Mobile launched the Motorola Charm but then ran into problems as the Android OS Smartphone has yet to be released.

The Smartphone is said to be an inexpensive consumer model focussing in on messaging. A recent article by Ed Hardy over at brighthand explains that now posted on the carrier’s website is a message which states the Motorola Charm is coming soon, although no specific date has been released.

The rumour is though that it will hit T Mobile stores on August 25th. The Charm is going to be a tablet shaped device with a small keyboard fixed below the 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen.

The device will run on Google’s Android OS 2.1 and come with the new version of MotoBlur Motorola’s own software which allows syncing of contacts, posts, messages and also photos. Quite obviously the Motorola Charm will support T Mobile’s GSM voice network and it is also going to offer HSPA 3G at 3.6Mbps, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. With a 3 megapixel camera along with 2 GB microSD memory card a GPS receiver plus much more. Overall a very nice cheap option for those conscious of spending too much on a Smartphone just $75 with a two year contract and a mail in rebate.
