BlackBerry Torch 9800: What Carrier will you use?

The latest hot device out of the Research In Motion stable is of course the new slider BlackBerry, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 which sports RIM’s newest operating system BlackBerry 6, and no doubt the BlackBerry Torch will be a big success for Research In Motion considering the amount of interest in the new device.

As with most new smartphones the BlackBerry Torch 9800 gets compared to other devices including the iPhone 4, Samsung Epic 4G, Droid X and such, and the inevitable questions arise whether the new BlackBerry can compete with such high profile devices, which no doubt it will.

When the BlackBerry Torch 9800 hits the public arena is should be available on AT&T, and although no other US carrier is tipped to get the BlackBerry Torch sooner or later no doubt more will pick it up.

Up in Canada the BlackBerry Torch will be with Rogers, Telus, Bell and Virgin Mobile, while over here in the UK, Vodafone and Orange will offer the device. In Australia, Optus, Telstra, Vodafone and 3 will offer the BlackBerry Torch as some future date.

Whether other international carriers will offer the BlackBerry Torch remains to be seen, but with the BlackBerry ban hanging over RIM’s head in the Middle East, those countries may miss out. So what we’d like to know from our readership is what carrier will you opt for when you purchase the BlackBerry Torch 9800?

I think verizon should get this phone! I love BB, had the curve in Europe for 2 years and now going on 2 years in USA. I want a touch (iphone) but dont want AT&T. I want to stay with BB and verizon, but they are making this call very hard for me and a few of my friends. I think if verizon gets thsi phone asap~ like right when it comes out, they will get alot of the AT&T customers and keep me as a customer too!
