Messenger for iPhone gets tested

Microsoft have today launched its official messenger application for Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch in Canada, UK, France and the US.

It is available as a free download from the App store and is said to be a slim downed version of the Windows Desktop big brother. The application has been tested by Jas Dhaliwal and a subsequent article published over at tech.uk via liveside

When the Windows Live Messenger iPhone application is launched immediately you are able to update your status on Windows Live and see the social updates from your friends. You are able to see all of your friends updates in one easy view.

You can also just simply switch over to the Chats tab in order to start a conversation. Conversations with friends couldn’t be easier it has the same kind of chat flow as that which is seen in SMS messaging. Creating a photo status message from your iPhone is also straightforward simply take a picture with your iPhone or pick one from your local album.
