If you are an owner of the BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 smartphone you may like to know that the official OS 5.0.0.741 update is now available for download to your device courtesy of Indosat.

However according to BBla1ze over at Crackberry there was some confusion over this update as apparently Indosat posted the operating system update under the BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 tag rather than the BlackBerry Storm 2 9520.

But if you own the BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 version you can now gain OS 5.0.0.741 by visiting the Indosat BlackBerry download page and simply look in the 9550 page as that is where the download can be located for now.

As this is an official release of OS 5.0.0.741 for the BlackBerry Storm 9520, not 9550, there is no need for our usually disclaimer but remember to backup your smartphone data before installing.
