HTC Droid Incredible Android 2.2 Froyo: Have You Received Update?

We would love to know if you have received your HTC Droid Incredible Android 2.2 Froyo software update yet, apparently it has been released today.

We mentioned on August 15 about the online rumour of this new 2.2 update for the HTC Incredible being released today and it seems they were not rumours, Erictric readers have sent in tips and even responded in their comments area that the update is available.

We would love to know if you have got your update and if so what does the update bring to the table, what features does it give you and if you have experienced problems downloading Android 2.2 aka Froyo on your HTC Droid Incredible.

Please do use our comments area below, our readers would love to know if you have got it, has it been worth the wait. We have waiting long enough for Verizon to stock more handsets so the wait for the software update was always on the cards.

My Droid Incredible (in Seattle, Washington) still has not received an OTA notification, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I would love to see proof of those claiming to have received it since it has not been pushed from the servers to the OTA system yet… Hmmm curious? The only way a non VZW employee would have this is if they Rooted and installed it themselves.

It still amazes me how a rumor released several weeks ago has everyone so set on thinking it's true, people like to be the one to know the unknown, VZW reps included, I am afraid you are all about to be very dissapointed as the real news hits over the next few days.

Just got the update, in SWFL and still trying to figure out what the update brings. I know my swype stopped working had to uninstall and reinstall and now works fine. The IM has more options to attach files/pics etc. Not sure what else. Doesn't seem any faster, but phone was always fast.
