It appears that Huawei is just about ready to jump aboard the Android Froyo gravy train as there are apparently gearing up to launch a new Android smartphone that will sport the latest Android operating platform.

According to an article over on i4u by Robert Evans, a report from PC World has it that Huawei is to unveil a new Android smartphone in the low to mid range during the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin with a lunch event scheduled for September the 2nd.

So here’s what we know about the specs for the Huawei U8150, the device will pack a 2.8 inch capacitive touch screen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, 802.11n WiFi, 528Mhz processor, GPS, and of course Android 2.2 Froyo OS.

Huawei is saying the price of the device “will be very attractive” whatever that means, although they haven’t given any indication as to just when the Huawei U8150 will begin shipping.
