Motorola Defy Officially Announced

Motorola has now gone all official with their latest rugged smartphone which they bill as a “rough-‘n’-tumble” device, the Motorola Defy, which actually doesn’t make anyone rejoice when it comes to the specs front.

According to an article over on Gizmodo by Kat Hannaford, and by way of Motorola, the new Motorola defy sports a 3.7 inch WVGA touch screen along with a 5 megapixel camera and DLNA support, and apparently Gorilla Glass, Adobe Flash Lite browser, and Android OS.

The senior vice president, portfolio and device product management, Motorola Mobility, Alain Mutricy, says “DEFY has been designed to handle everything that life throws your way. With all the features consumers expect in a smartphone, DEFY packs advanced web browsing, entertainment and messaging capabilities as well as a design that withstands the challenges of everyday life.”

Word has it the Motorola Defy is dust and water resistant and with a scratch proof screen and is impact resistant as well and CrystalTalk Plus tech for cutting out those noisy environments. The Motorola Defy is expected to hit in Europe in Q4.
