Smartphone Mobile Recovery Service Launching Today by Verizon

Word has it that over in the states; the Big Red will lunch a new service for smartphones today which is known as Mobile Recovery and apparently the service will provide numerous functions to Verizon BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Android and webOS handsets.

According to an article over on the Boy Genius Report by Andrew Munchbach, the launch of Mobile Recovery was tipped by one of their ninjas at VZW and will be a free optional add-on for customers scribing to a Total Equipment Coverage pan on the above devices.

So what does Verizon Mobile Recovery offer? Well apparently the service will deliver device location via GPS, remote dock lock, remote handset wiping and sound alarms.

Furthermore the tipster says…“Once enrolled in TEC, which is complete coverage against loss, theft, accidental damage and defects after the manufacturer’s warranty expires; customers can visit www.MyMobileRecovery.com to download the Mobile Recovery application, or text getmr to 6967 for download instructions.”
