BlackBerry Torch Comes to Canada’s Rogers on 27th

The latest and first slider touch screen smartphone out of the Research In Motion stable, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 will make an appearance on the company’s home turf in a couple of days and play nice on the Rogers network.

According to an article over on Softpedia by Ionut Arghire, and by way of Mobile Syrup, the word is that as of the 24th which is tomorrow would be BlackBerry Torch 9800 owners will be able to pre-order the device with Rogers with a release day of the 27th of September.

The BlackBerry Torch was originally to first appear in Canada as of tomorrow however a few carriers such as Virgin and Bell shifted the smartphone release date to the 1st of October.

However, if you want to grab a BlackBerry Torch 9800 on Rogers you’ll have to get in quick as apparently there is only a small quantity of the device being delivered to Rogers stores, but said stores will be taking orders for the handset .

Price wise the handset will cost $609.99 without commitment, a promo price of $199.99 on a 3 year term, $449 and $449 on a 3 year and depending on plan options. On a 2 year term it will set you back $529.99 or $559.99 depending n plan and for a 1 year term is will cost $559.99.
