Apple iPhone Developers Profits More Than Expected

Now obviously most iPhone application developers do what they do because they want to make money from their skills just like anyone else in any line of work, and it appears that some are seeing profits of more than they expected to see according to a recent survey.

According to an article over on The Register, a survey conducted between August 30th and September 10th by Open-First showed that 48 percent of iPhone app developers said that the amount of cash they make from the Apple App Store has exceeded their expectations.

The Open-First survey (PDF) polled 110 iPhone app developers by way of an online questionnaire and a follow up phone call. However apparently 28 percent are somewhat dissatisfied and have stated they are making less than expected.

According to the article, 78 percent rated themselves satisfied, very satisfied, and somewhat satisfied with the App Store and 99 percent of developers surveyed said they will continue to publish more apps for the iPhone.
