Apple iPhone 3GS Could Capture HDR Photos

Well now, although it appears that the latest piece of kit from the Apple tree, namely the iPhone 4 seems to have it all tech wise and the ability to shoot HDR pictures and video, those left with the iPhone 3GS may be feeling somewhat left out of the ballgame.

However, according to an article over on Gizmodo by Kat Hannaford the guys over at 9 to 5 Mac have found that the SDK intimates that the Apple iPhone 3GS does indeed have the necessary power required to capture HDR images.

The guys have evidence of this by way of an image of the “non-Retina display” icon. Apparently older version of the iPhone simply don’t have the guts needed to shoot HDR but the iPhone 3GS does, so maybe somewhere down the line Apple will make it so.

So what do you think do you own an iPhone 3GS and think Apple should enable HDR photos on your device, or are you quite happy without it? Feel free to drop us a comment on your views.
