New WebOS Smartphones Coming in 2011 Says HP

Since Palm bit the dust and was taken over by HP there have been several rumours that eventually the mobile space will see new smartphone sporting webOS, and apparently HP has been working on integrating webOS in all manner of products including word on a “Mansion” phone

So the latest word on webOS smartphones is according to an article over on Slash Gear by Shane McGlaun, and by way of Yahoo, HP will being offering new smartphones featuring the webOS operating system some time in 2011.

Apparently, Eric Cador, senior vice president has said…“You will see us coming early next year with new phones.”

So it looks like we will be seeing some type of new smartphone next year that will pack webOS, whether it will carry Palm or HP branding isn’t known and whether webOS can actually still cut it in the smartphone arena remains to be seen.
