LG Optimus 7 Goes Official Prior to Microsoft Event

You are probably aware that Microsoft is going to make a big splash in the mobile phone ocean today at their Windows Phone 7 launch event, but it appears that some are simply too eager to await Microsoft’s official launch.

According to an article over on Engadget by Vlad Savov, LG seems to have jumped the gun a tad and not waited for the Windows Phone 7 launch event to begin as LG Blog UK, have apparently posted an image gallery along with the LG Optimus 7’s details online.

It does have to be said in LG’s defence though that most of the LG Optimus 7 Windows Phone 7 device images and details are leaks we’ve all seen before anyway, so maybe not too much damage done.

The details show the LG Optimus 7 will sport a 3.8 inch WVGA touch screen, 5 megapixel camera with 720p, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and DLNA streaming which was shown as IFA and exclusive to LG handsets along with Scansearch and Voice-to-Text functions.

So not really a great deal extra to be learned by this sudden outing of the LG Optimus 7, and I’m not sure if you are of the same opinion as me but don’t you think all these WP7 devices are beginning to sound much and the same?
