Cosmic Discoveries iPhone App Puts Universe in Your Hand: Video

If you are into discovering the mysteries of our universe and use the iPhone, there is now a new application available from the American Museum of Natural History that puts the universe on your iPhone and in your hand.

Attention to this little iPhone app has been brought to us by Kyle VanHemert over at Gizmodo, and the Cosmic Discoveries iPhone app blurb claims to allow the user to “take a ride with the museum’s astrophysicists through our Solar System.”

The Cosmic Discoveries app for iPhone features almost 1,000 stunning photos and has been released as part of a year long series of events that commemorates the 10th anniversary of the American Museum’s Rose Center for Earth and Space.

The Cosmic Discoveries iPhone app delivers nearly 1,000 images of such things as the majestic Horsehead Nebula, the gas giant Saturn and its rings, and even the pockmarked surface of Mercury along with many more.

The Cosmic Discoveries iPhone app is available to download from iTunes as a free application, and we have a quick video demo of the app in action for you to check out below…enjoy.
