Apple is about to releases its new iOS 4.2 update very soon, hopefully this Friday and many jailbreakers especially beginners may make mistakes trying to jailbreak and unlock, please read the following novices.

A new update has been posted by the Dev Team of what to do and what not to do and this should be read carefully, we will keep this simple but for full details either visit the Dev Team Blog or iPhone Download Blog.

iOS firmwares on all devices can be jailbroken, apparently when it comes to the untethered status of the jailbreak it all goes on Comex to extend it to iOS 4.2, this hack does work with iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2 beta 3.

There is going to be an unlock for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G models, do not download iOS 4.2 if you wish to unlock these devices, wait until you have been given the go ahead.

There is no iPhone 4 unlock as of yet but apparently a few holes in the system have been found, more will be revealed once the iOS 4.2 has been released do NOT update to iOS 4.2 until further notice if you wish to unlock.
