Apple iOS 4.2 AirPrint Question: Steve Jobs Replies

So the word doing the rounds on the net waves is that the AirPrint feature has for some unknown reason been dropped from Apple’s iOS 4.2, and obviously it correct the question is why has Apple pulled the feature?

Well according to an article over on TiPb, the guys over at MacRumours say that one of their forum members sent an email on that matter to the chief of Apple, Steve Jobs, and apparently the iPhone guru replied in his usual short manner.

The members email to the Apple CEO was…” As a release-day purchaser of an iPad, I was elated when you revealed iOS 4.2 would support AirPrint. Now comes reports AirPrint support has been pulled from 4.2. Between announcements/assurances of the white iPhone, and now the pulling of AirPrint, is Apple going to lose credibility and become known for announcing “vaporware”?

To which apparently Mr. Jobs answered…” AirPrint has not been pulled. Don’t believe everything you read.”

Short and sweet Jobs style, but although Mr. Jobs says AirPlay hasn’t been “pulled” doesn’t actually mean it is still included and could possibly mean if a user has an AirPrint capable printer you’ll still be able to print from Apple’s iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

No doubt one way or the other we’ll soon find out once Apple goes public with iOS 4.2. So will you be a tad annoyed if Apple has dropped AirPrint from iOS 4.2?
