Looks like iPad users are going to be getting an Apple iPad only newspaper called The Daily in the not too distant future which would apparently be the first to support iTunes subscription billing.

According to an article over on Gizmodo by Kyle VanHemert and by way of John Gruber of Daring Fireball, this Apple and News Corp. iPad newspaper just might be announced on the 9th of December.

Although apparently John does note that the 9th happens to be a Thursday so the official announcement of The Daily could well be pushed into the following week so it arrives alongside the Mac App Store.

Apparently iPhone guru Steve Jobs and News Corp’s Rupert Murdoch have been in talks with a view to unveiling the digital newspaper, the development of which has been kept in secret in New York for several months.

So are any of our iPad owners getting excited about having an iPad exclusive digital newspaper which we presume will be available on a daily basis going by the name?
