Motorola Droid New Software Coming, Gingerbread Perhaps?

If you are an owner of the original Motorola Droid smartphone you may be interested to hear that a new software is on its way for your Android handset although we aren’t too sure just when or what.

According to an article over on Droid-life by Kellex, the Motorola Feedback Network has issued an email to members alerting of an upcoming software update for the Motorola Droid device and that members may get the opportunity to test the software.

Here’s what the Motorola Feedback Network emailed…” We recently learned of an opportunity to test new software for the original Droid in advance of wide release. These pre-launch “soak” tests are becoming increasingly common for Android phones. Naturally, we want to get as many Motorola Feedback Members involved as possible.”

Now this “new software” for the Motorola Droid could well be Android 2.2.1, but there is always a chance that it could be Android 2.3 Gingerbread, so if any of our readers are a member of the Motorola Feedback Network and get to test the new software please feel free to share anything in our comments area below.
