Video Streaming Device Being Developed by Motorola

Apparently Motorola is developing a standalone device which will be capable of wireless streaming of video to smartphone and tablets in the home said Daniel Moloney the president of Motorola Mobility during the Reuters Global Media Summit.

According to an article over on Ubergizmo, the new Motorola device will apparently be offered to the public via service providers rather than being offered for sale off the shelf in stores although apparently service providers may opt for an extra charge to use the device.

Also the Motorola video streaming device may be able to be used by satellite television and cable as an incentive to their customers so they opt to say with their providers to gain video streaming.

Moloney didn’t offer up too much detail on the device or which platforms the device might support; however one could expect Apple iOS and Google’s Android platform to be somewhat involved at some stage.
