Samsung Now Number One US Android Supplier

Samsung has been going all out to get their Samsung Galaxy S just about everywhere on the globe, and over in the good ole US of A, old Sammy pushed out a Galaxy S variant to every national US carrier and the top regional carrier, which has led to Samsung taking the top Android supplier slot over in the states.

According to an article over on Engadget Mobile by Chris Ziegler, Samsung has apparently shifted 3 million Galaxy S smartphones in the US, which we all know are the Verizon Samsung Fascinate, AT&T Samsung Captivate, Sprint Samsung Epic 4G, T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant, and US Cellular’s Samsung Mesmerize.

Apparently jointly these Galaxy S models grabbed 32.1% of the Android market in the US during Q3 which has put Samsung in the top slot, and you have to agree when up against Android competitors like Motorola and HTC it’s a pretty impressive achievement.

The president of Samsung Mobile, Dale Sohn has said, “The Galaxy S portfolio has played a significant role in Samsung’s success in 2010 and we are extremely excited to show you what products, services and innovations we have in store for the U.S. market in 2011.”
