I recently bought HP Officejet 6500A and updated my iphone 3GS to iOS 4.2.

When I select "print"->"select printer", the iphone searched for the printer and couldn't find it. Not sure why there is no option to specify the printers ip address in this case. A simple solution for users who may want to override the search mechanism.

As for the HP printer, I could print test page via wireless connection from Windows XP and Windows 7. Strangley the one from Windows 7 was very slow – am not spending time on this right now – as long as i can print from somewhere.
